The Holloway Lake Association observed the 50th. Anniversary of the Holloway Dam & Reservoir in 2005.
The HLA Newsletter will celebrate the occasion by publishing special reports about the land, the people, the water, and this remarkable structure. We hope that all friends of Holloway Reservoir will be better informed and become advocates to preserve the recreational and residential opportunities it provides.

The DAM GATES were
closed on Tuesday of
this week,
(April 15, 2008 TWO
WEEKS EARLY), and the
water is on the rise.
Good news for those
who fish,
BAD NEWS FOR THE
HOMEOWNERS
who thought they had
another two weeks to
prepare for the summer.
If you have shoreline
work that needs to be
completed and docks to
put in, you will have to
get it done this weekend
(if you don’t want to be
standing in the water).
A copy of the Agreement
between the Parks and
City of Flint was
delivered to the Water
Department.
THEY ACTED WITHOUT
NOTIFYING US FIRST.
The Board will be
addressing this issue
next week at the May
board meeting.

A special thanks to all those who showed up for the Annual Holloway Spring Clean-up, Saturday, April 19th, 2008. We had a great turnout and and beautiful day this year. The Stanley Road Fishing Site and Goose Point were much easier this year (than in past years) and took very little time to pick up only one years’ collection of debris left by visitors. Mt Morris Rd Fishing Site and around the south side of the Mt Morris Road Bridge took much more effort. All together two very large pickup truck beds full of garbage, abandoned tires, mattress and even a couple ancient adding machines were recovered. In all it took us only about two and a half hours to collect it all. Again thanks for all the help!!!!!! YOU DID GREAT WORK!!!!! Julie, HLA Secretary
